1 Educational Design Group (EDG TM) is a private company entirely owned by its Directors and providing services wholly to the Educational Sector. The company started trading in June 1994, specialising in the design, upgrading
and equipping of educational premises. Educational Design Group is a multi- disciplinary pro-active group, comprising of specialists in building design, furniture, equipment, IT provision, logistics, planning, procurement, Health & Safety legislation and project management.

2 The Group conducts curriculum space analysis to match the premises to the users needs. This often results in a reduced scheme, mixing re-modelling with new build thus resulting in a saving in cost. Educational Design Group is acknowledged by the Department for Education & Skills to have completed projects for 43% below the DfES Building Guide Costs and is therefore very good 'Value for Money'.

3 Our current estimated building cost per square metre ranges from £720 to £820 for new stand-alone school accommodation using traditional building methods.
We have completed many school building projects in Essex valued from £2,000 to £2,500,000 which we designed, tendered and project managed to completion.

4 The Group has worked with the Centre for Accessible Environments
addressing the needs of disabled pupils, staff and visitors within schools to ensure adequate access to key areas of the building.

5 The Group designs and plans individual teaching spaces, including furniture
and equipment scheduling, specifying, costing, sourcing and ordering ensuring 'Value for Money'.

6 Educational Design Group often works in parallel with other professionals
appointed by the school or LEA undertaking tasks which the lead professionals are unable to enact.

7 Educational Design Group staff are well placed to respond to the fast moving policy changes within the Educational Sector.
